Developed from attendee feedback, the Senior Residents Conference and Residents Day Program aimed to eliminate some of the unknown for residents as they transition to practicing surgeons. Residents benefited from the engaging and insightful interactions with veterans of the specialty, who shared personal stories and provided advice on how to land a full-time position and instruction on how to properly set up and manage a practice.

SURGERY SPOTLIGHT

The Surgery Spotlight is a monthly series of surgical videos produced and hosted on PSEN that aim to put you in the operating room with the demonstrating surgeon. A new program featuring a different surgical technique launches every month, and can be streamed freely on PSEN or viewed at a charge within a PSEN CME course.

In this video exerpt, a member surgeon performs a Diagonal Upper Gracilis (DUG) Flap dissection on a young woman for delayed breast reconstruction. The entire video included chapters on DUG flap markings, flap elevation, recipient vessel preparation, anastomosis, and flap inset.
